Flavors, recipes and atmosphere of Ancient Greek banquets: this workshop is designed by university researchers, chefs and wine experts who made an accurate and unique reconstruction of dishes, drinks, etiquette, customs and habits of Ancient Greeks.
The diversity of the region and the long history of Greece are represented through a “modern” menu with starters, main dishes and desserts.
Participants will learn how culinary habits have changed over times and taste samples of ancient recipes.
They have the possibility to follow the historical logical thread and live, through tastes and manners, the authentic food tradition of Ancient Greeks or to taste an adapted, modern version of old dishes.
For those who love comparing, we offer the possibility to taste both version of dishes (traditional and adapted) and see how tastes changed during more than a thousand year. You won't go home on an empty stomach!
At the end of the experience all participants will receive a recipe book.
