The Walking Food Tour takes place between the Navigli and Duomo neighborhoods. This walking food tour is designed to show the many souls of Milan: traditional and modern, conservative and innovative, based on local ingredients and ancient recipes but also enriched from traditions from other parts of Italy and from other cultures, as it happens in all major European cities.
Together with our Food Ambassador, a licensed local guide and food expert, travelers will taste some street food beloved by Milanese students, the panzerotti, usually in the area of the renowned Bocconi University. The Food Ambassador will enrich the experience with stories of everyday life and anecdotes, and will show hidden jewels and major landmarks of San Lorenzo area. The walking food tour includes a visit to the local market, when open.
For students the highlight of the tour is often the “food challenge”. The Food Ambassador will offer a sample of a local dish, belonging to the local cucina povera and will dare travelers to taste it and guess what it is made of. The tour also includes other two samplings, a main dish and a delicious dessert.

We highly recommend this tour! We were taken to places that definitely felt "off the beaten path"...hidden gems where we were treated as VIPs and never would have stumbled upon them on our own. We enjoyed delicious food and wine. Wonderful experience from start to finish.

This was an excellent tour with multiple and varied opportunities to sample different aspects of the Milan food scene. It was ably led by the very competent and congenial Fabrizio who had a truly lovely manner with people and perfectly achieved the friendliness/professionalism balance. We felt is was good value for money and an ideal way to 'feel' Milan with its mix of history, geography and food culture all rolled into one. Would recommend early in your visit, in the evening, as a kind of orientation experience.

Had a great tour with Sylvia. It was just our small group so it was like having a private tour. It also gave us an opportunity to learn about Italian history and life. Have been on many food tours but this was by far the most intellectual one we have had because we were able to have great discussions. The food was amazing. Highlights for me were the Risotto and the vegetarian Gelato -and I am not a vegetarian. Also, great to get off the beaten path and see other neighborhoods
